Coach (k ch) - A person who trains or directs athletes or athletic teams.
Webster's definition of a Coach is very simple. However, the definition of a coach can vary greatly for different people. Some people view a coach as someone who is there for every workout, pushing them to new levels of fitness performance. Others see a coach as a mentor, guiding their athletic journey. While some see a coach as a master planner, putting each individual training session into a multi-season plan and logging all the data for analysis, a few people just want a coach to be there if they have a quick question about their training, equipment, or race tactics.
The coaches at Endurance Sports Solutions take on all of these roles and more. We start all of our coaching services with an extensive questionairre, goal setting interview, and annual planning session. This consultation provides us with key information we need to get you started in the right direction to reach your unique athletic goals. Following this consultation, many athletes choose to work with us in a close relationship where we prescribe and monitor each daily workout session using an online training log, email and phone. As athletes ourselves, we like to train with our athletes as well when possible.
While everyone might not want the close daily relationship of a full-time coach, we also offer one-on-one hourly services. In these sessions we can meet to review training logs, answer questions you might have over the phone, or we can coach you though a workout or testing session to ensure proper technique and measure athletic performance.

Multisport Coach Kevin Park- Married to Tracy, and the father of 6 year old twin girls Madison and Mikaylie. Presently sponsored for 2005 by Trisports.com
Ive been racing since 1997 when I watched my brother compete at Mrs. Ts in Chicago. I immediately caught the bug and began training. I raced in my first triathlon 2 weeks later. That winter I signed up for the Great Floridian with a whopping one triathlon under my belt. I did several races leading up to the Great Floridian, and managed to finish in 11:23. Ive done an Ironman every year since, finishing 6 of 7. Ive raced Ironman Florida every year except 2004, and I am once again signed up for 2005. However, this year I will attempt my first multiple Ironman racing season as I will also be competing at Ironman Lake Placid for the second year in a row.
I suppose you could say I come from a running background as I was a recreational runner for almost 10 years before my first triathlon, though Ive never raced until 1997. I especially enjoy the longer distance races from Half Ironman to Ironman. Not being an overwhelming swimmer, the longer distances give me a chance to work myself back towards the front. Ive finished as high as 3rd and 5th at the Half Ironman distance, and have a PR of 9:48 at the Ironman distance, which I hope to break this fall at Ironman Florida.
Im primarily a triathlete completing nearly 70 triathlons in the last 8 years. I also race an occasional duathlon or running race. After 8 years in triathlon, I feel compelled to start working with some athletes to help foster the love I have for the sport. As such, Im scheduled to attend a U.S.A.T. Level I coaching clinic in April. In time, I hope to work with youth level competition, perhaps integrating some tri club or teams into schools in the area.

Cycling Coach Brent Evans- Brent Evans, Elite road and cyclocross racer, currently offers coaching services to novice and advanced cyclists who want to gain an edge in their preparation for competition. Brent's background includes three seasons racing in the Tarn region of France for teams, Union Cycliste Albigeose and Union Cyclist Mazamet as well as being a US based professional road cyclist in 1994 and 1995. It is 17 years of cycling experience that Brent employs to advance the aspirations of his athletes to the next level of their development.
As firm believer in the concept "first get to the finish then think about winning the race," Brent encourages individuals to look at the necessary mental and physical tools that will be needed for each objective. By training the body and mind to perform simple techniques regularly, athletes can become very comfortable with their capabilities under pressure in big events.
Brent is community minded in his role as founder of the Color Me Safe helmet safety program, established in 1998. Color Me Safe uses competitive cyclists to make a positive impression on children and families to wear helmets and to ride safely. School assemblies, safety towns, church groups, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Scout troops and bicycle rodeos are where children learn about safe cycling with Color Me Safe.
